Client Commission "Silver Glamour" 100 x 70 cm Framed - SOLD
This piece was specially created for a client’s kitchen, after sending through a series of photographs of the room, I curated a piece that showcased colours and textures that existed within the room already.
To describe the interior, this piece is to be hung above a crushed grey velvet sofa, with soft pink pillows and silver crystalised glass clock & picture frames. I wanted this painting to compliment the already glamourous space without overshadowing it. The use of silver leaf, crushed glass and champagne gilding enamel paint were just the perfect materials to bring it to life.
With all my paintings they are finished with a professional strong hold permanent varnish to seal and protect the piece from dirt, dust and UV damage. Despite this, it is still recommended to resist handling the piece and to avoid hanging in direct sunlight.
I handcrafted the frame to custom fit the 3.6cm box canvas, used a router on the inner edge and sunk the canvas down to create a shadowing edge - complete with hand painting it white and finishing with a hard-wearing satin varnish.
